• Summer Youth Band: SYB will run Monday through Thursday, from 9 to 11 a.m., at  Church on the Rock, 4028 Babcock St., Melbourne (across the street from Palm Bay High School).  Each student will receive a 50-minute group lesson with a qualified teacher and also will have playing time as part of a band. • Israeli Friendship Caravan performance: The Israeli Friendship Caravan returns to Brevard to present a high-energy song and dance performance. Ten Israeli high school student performers will also share stories of their life in Israel. The Sister City Program of Cocoa, Florida and Beit Shemesh, Israel, is jointly sponsoring this performance along with Temple Israel, Temple Beth Sholom, and Bridges for Peace. Door prizes featuring beautiful Israeli gifts will be awarded. • Running Wild 5k Walk/Run: The Florida Wildlife Hospital and Sancutary will host its inaugural Running Wild 5k Walk/Run that will meander through established paths of native Florida at Wickham Park, located at 2500 Parkway Drive in Melbourne. Family friendly event will include meeting some of our ambassador animals at the end of the race. Our goals include: raise awareness of wildlife rehabilitation, increase our community partnerships and raise funds for our facility. With only a small paid staff, FWH boasts 200+ volunteers that are trained to assist technicians with its mission.
