ABC3 Basic Boating Class: You can remedy this by attending the next ABC3 Basic Boating Class and earning the Boating Safety ID Card You will learn the fundamentals of boat types and handling, safety, navigation rules, government regulations and many other topics from experienced, certified instructors. The course meets Florida State and NASBLA requirements for certification. Also, an on-the-water session will be held reviewing pre-trailer launch; hands-on basic boat handling, anchor deployment and retrieval; casting off and docking. Prostate Cancer Tests: On September 5, during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. PSA testing and letter of results will be done by free by Sun Coast Pathology of Melbourne. The event will at the Cocoa Beach Health & Fitness at 1355 N. Atlantic Ave in Cocoa Beach from 7-11 a.m. and 3:30-7:30 p.m.. There is no charge for the test as I am doing fundraising to pay the very generous offer of Sun Coast Pathology of $15 per test. A man dies every 18 minutes in the United States which is just not acceptable as Prostate Cancer is treatable and curable is diagnosed while contained to the prostate. There is no mandate that requires a doctor to either discuss or order a PSA blood test which is absurd when this simple, inexpensive test, can save a man's life. Enrichment Classes: Winter enrichment classes for the Shepherd’s Center of South Brevard begin Jan. 10 and end Feb. 28 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2075 Meadowlane Avenue in West Melbourne.
