MELBOURNE – Launch Federal Credit Union is hosting a “Banking & Brews” event at Hell ‘n Blazes Brewing Company in Downtown Melbourne on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Lending professionals from Launch will be on hand to answer questions about home buying, how to apply for a mortgage, and how to use your home’s equity for anything you need. The event is free to the public.

“We want to provide a casual atmosphere for people to come and ask questions about any banking topic,” said Kelly Haskins, vice president of marketing for Launch FCU. “Stop in after work. Everyone will receive a ticket for a complimentary beer. There will also be door prizes including gift cards for local Downtown Melbourne establishments.”

Attendees can talk one on one with lending experts about how to apply for a mortgage or a home equity line of credit. Purchasing a home right now may actually be less expensive than renting. Interest rates have just been lowered, and Launch FCU has several programs that may help with the down payment on a home. Information will also be available on debt consolidation, and Launch will be available to open accounts.

Hell ‘n Blazes Brewing Company is located at 1002 E. New Haven Avenue in Downtown Melbourne. There is no cost to attend and you do not need to be a Launch member to come out to the event.

Launch Federal Credit Union is a full service community credit union with fourteen branch locations throughout Brevard and Volusia counties. Membership is open to all who live, work, worship or attend school in Brevard or Volusia counties.
