MERRITT ISLAND – The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce presents the 31st Annual Business Champion of the Year Awards ceremony on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites/Space Coast Convention Center, located at 301 Tucker Lane, Cocoa.

This event is presented by the Chamber’s Executive level event sponsors: Florida Today, Hometown News, and Waste Management. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception sponsored by Artemis IT. An elegant dinner and the awards program starts at 6:30 p.m. Master of ceremonies Greg Pallone, News 13 Anchor, will guide guests through the recognition of several deserving local business partners and we will welcome keynote speaker, Representative Tyler Sirois, District 51.

“Each year we are amazed at the accomplishments of the businesses that are nominated for these coveted awards. We are honored to recognize these outstanding businesses and look forward to celebrating the components that make them each unique in their respective categories,” said Jennifer Sugarman, President & CEO of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber.

This event helps recognize the dedication that businesses have to improving the community. Categories for Business Champion of the Year include Small Business (1-25 Employees); Medium Business (26-100 Employees); Large Business (101-500 Employees); Non-Profit Organization; and Start-Up Business (In operation for at least one year, but not more than three years).

General admission to the Business Champion of the Year Awards is $45 per person. A $125 sponsorship provides two reserved seats and recognition in the event program.

The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce was established in 1968 and serves Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Patrick Air Force Base, Port St. John, Rockledge, Palm Shores, Suntree, Viera and Brevard County.
