Melbourne City Manager Shannon Lewis addresses FCCMA conference attendees after her election to president of the FCCMA board.

MELBOURNE – Melbourne City Manager Shannon Lewis was elected to serve as president of the Florida City and County Management Association Board of Directors during the association’s annual conference last week in Orlando. FCCMA is Florida’s professional association for practicing public administrators throughout the state.

Ms. Lewis recognized new board members following the election and congratulated them for their time, commitment and leadership.

“The lifeblood of any association is its active members, and we are very grateful for the dedicated leadership, vision and hard work of our board of directors, members and partners,” Ms. Lewis said.

The more than 600-member FCCMA is an affiliate of the International City/County Management Association. It is a member-driven, ethical, inclusive organization committed to the council-manager and commission-manager forms of government, dedicated to effective partnerships with elected officials, devoted to the advancement of excellence in professional management of local government in the state of Florida and determined to provide quality of service to its membership and the local governments it serves.
