MELBOURNE ― The 30th annual "Bibles on Parade" will take costumed characters and spectators back to Bible times depicting the 66 books of the Bible with banners, floats, musical presentations and storytellers that proclaim the story about Jesus on the city streets.

A historical event that began in 1990 in Melbourne is now in its 30th celebratory year on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m., starting and returning to the Melbourne Auditorium, located at 625 E Hibiscus Boulevard in Melbourne.

Gift tickets will be given to every child on the parade route. Gifts can be claimed at the celebration that follows at the Melbourne Auditorium. There will be free pizza, cake, drinks, live music and presentations.

The parade route will run through Hibiscus Boulevard, Fee Avenue and Babcock Street; ending back at the Melbourne Auditorium.

After the outdoor event, the community is invited to “A Celebration Fellowship Buffet Dinner” inside the Melbourne Auditorium at 6 p.m.

“It’s a united gift of love from the participating church. It’s our way of saying Merry Christmas Brevard,” said Pastor Janna Hogan Forschino, of Jesus is The Key Church in Melbourne.

To be properly prepared, RSVP with name and party size by calling (321) 773-1489.
