Help Restore the Indian River Lagoon: This is an opportunity to volunteer for a pilot project to help restore Indian River Lagoon habitats by building an oyster and clam reef and planting a sea grass mat on the west side of Samsons Island.

Katie Morrissey at Studios of Cocoa Beach: The Studios of Cocoa Beach continues its series of mini solo exhibitions with ceramic art by Katie Morrissey. You can view the exhibition the entire month of April.
Katie has been working with tile for over 21 years. And while she often uses found items in her work, she mainly creates and modifies ceramic tile. Adding art work and firing them in a kiln creates individual small works of art.

Green Gables is the 125-year old historic home of the Wells family, one of the generous benefactors who played a key role in the development of early Melbourne. Their vision and their generosity gifted the area with Wells Park and the first auditorium, the first library, establishing the first high school, and many more things in the community, all of which have been enjoyed by several generations. We do not want Green Gables to become a distant memory from the past or an archived post.

Lawndale - a Blue Star Museum: Lawndale is an 1880 pioneer homestead in Rockledge, has now been registered as a Blue Star Museum. It will be open for tours starting Saturday May 1. Active duty military and their families will have free admission from May through September.
It sits on a 2 acre site with 183 feet of river frontage along scenic Rockledge Drive. Docents in period dress guide visitors through the old homestead which has been restored and furnished as a family home of 1895. The beautiful riverfront location of Lawndale at 1219 Rockledge Drive is in the middle of three National Register Historic Districts.

The Great Florida Air Show: The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline The Great Florida Air Show on Saturday May 15 and Sunday May 16 at the Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB).
This will be the Blue Angels first air show over Melbourne since 2015. They will fly the Team’s new aircraft, the F-18 Super Hornet. It is the first time in 35 years that the Team has upgraded its aircraft.
The air show will also include a demonstration of the skills of the U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team and an exhibition by the official U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team.
Other air show participants include nine-time U.S. National Aerobatic Champion Rob Holland, Mike Wiskus of Lucas Oil Air Shows, and Red Bull Air Races Champion Mike Goulian. Bicycle Bar Tour of Hope: The 4th Annual National Kidney Foundation Bicycle Bar Tour of Hope takes place on Saturday May 29th starting at 11 a.m. It'll be a leisurely ride from Port Canaveral to Cocoa Beach and back on improved bike paths and lanes.
This event supports the National Kidney Foundation of Florida, the same wonderful organization that brings you the Annual Kidney Walk and the Annual NKF Rich Salick Pro-Am Surf Festival!
Seven (7) Drinks – one at each stop! Tickets are $20 each in advance, or $30 day of. There will be a 50/50 Drawing. Other items awarded too. A dollar of each ticket sold will go to the NKF of Florida! Event is FREE & open to all. HOWEVER, tickets are available that provide a BIG PRICE BREAK on beverages at the below stops.

Hot Tuna at the King Center: From their days playing together as teenagers in the Washington D.C. area, through years of inventive psychedelic rock with the Jefferson Airplane in San Francisco, guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Casady have never wavered in their friendship, one of the most enduring friendships in Rock history. They are the founders and continuing core members of Hot Tuna. Both are 1996 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees. Come hear them play at the King Center on Friday June 4 at 8 p.m.

Titusville Bicycle Trek: A 14-mile day of cycling adventure to include the Chain of Lakes Park and Rails to Trails path! It happens on Saturday June 12. We meet at 9 a.m. at the Titusville Welcome Center located at 419 S. Hopkins Avenue in Titusville.
We will proceed a block north to Sunrise Bakery for coffee and homemade pastry before we start the ride. We will ride through downtown to the trail and go north to Truman Scarborough Avenue, head east to Chain of Lakes, ride the Chain of Lakes, climb the 75’ tower to see Indian River and launch pads, then ride north through the park to Jay Road, cross US 1 and head north to Hwy 46, where we turn around and go south to Dixie Crossroads for lunch.
