Inaugural Third Friday Food Truck Festival: The first 3rd Friday Food Truck Festival will be held July 16th at the Italian American Club located at 1471 Cypress Avenue in Melbourne from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Streetball Night in Palm Bay: Court Kingz is partnering with the City of Palm Bay and the Palm Bay Police Department to host Court Kingz Streetball Nights in Palm Bay.

"Mt. Rushmore of Apollo": The American Space Museum celebrates the 52nd anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing on Saturday July 17 with four iconic leaders of the Apollo program.

The event will feature space workers who made history shaping America's space program the past six decades. They are Bob Sieck, Lee Solid, John Tribe and Charlie Mars, the "Mt. Rushmore of Apollo".

These men were key figures behind the scenes dealing with astronauts, rocket engines and moon ships who will participate in a panel discussion at 1 p.m.

The event will include an 11 a.m. open discussion panel among selected Apollo workers, docent tours and a straw rocket game for the kids.

Each station will feature a short video with information about the questions in the manual. Place a station sticker on the Mission Map after recording the answer in the manual. Keep an eye out for our wandering street performer who will move about the visitor complex performing science demonstrations and magic tricks.

Basketball Skills Competition: On Saturday, July 31, the Tony Rosa Community Center, 1502 Port Malabar Blvd NE, will host the inaugural Michael-Gene Basketball Skills Competition. This event will allow kids ages 7 to 15 to show off their basketball skills in several different competitions. The event will start at 9:30 AM and there will be a maximum of 30 per age group. There is no charge to participate and all participants will receive a slice of pizza, chips, and a drink.

Back to School Blast-Off: The Supply Zone for Teachers will host the 19th Annual Back-to-School Blast-Off on Saturday July 31st from 9 am until noon or until supplies run out.

The event will be held on the campus of Clearlake Education Center at 1225 Clearlake Road in Cocoa.

The first 2,500 students in attendance will receive free backpacks, school supplies, books, and other necessities.

In order to participate, families are required to bring the students with them.

Scavenger Hunt: Sams House at Pine Island Conservation Area hosts a nature scavenger hunt every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come join the fun at the historic 1888 Sams House. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the grounds in this family friendly nature hunt.

Sams House is located at 6195 N Tropical Trail on Merritt Island.

Sams House at Pine Island Conservation Area was created and is managed under Brevard County’s Environmentally Endangered Lands Program referendum.

Lawndale - a Blue Star Museum: Lawndale is an 1880 pioneer homestead in Rockledge that is now open for tours. It has now been registered as a Blue Star Museum. That means that active duty military and their families will have free admission through September.

Lawndale sits on a 2 acre site with 183 feet of river frontage along scenic Rockledge Drive. Docents in period dress guide visitors through the old homestead which has been restored and furnished as a family home of 1895. The beautiful riverfront location of Lawndale at 1219 Rockledge Drive is in the middle of three National Register Historic Districts.

Lawndale is open for tours the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A donation of $10 per person is suggested. Lawndale is located at 1219 Rockledge Drive in Rockledge.

Palm Bay Community Bingo: Bingo twice weekly at the Greater Palm Bay Senior Center.

There will be Bingo every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and every week on Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Wednesday packages start at $6. Friday packages start at $14.

Bingo is open to everyone! Bring your dabber, lucky charms, a drink, and a snack.

Groucho's Comedy Club at the Italian Club: Groucho’s Comedy Club and a three course dinner is held every fourth Saturday at the Italian American Club located at 1471 Cypress Ave. in Melbourne. Two profession comedians and a comic M.C. Will have you laughing in the aisles.

Computers Advancing Education Lab: Once again we are offering a FREE Basic Computer Class. If you need help learning to use a computer, this is the place! No previous computer experience needed. Our classes will teach you to sign on, connect to the web, browse the internet, use e-mail, write a letter. We have computers available for use in the class. The class is limited to 9 people.
