BREVARD COUNTY – It’s human nature to enjoy being pampered, whether it’s after a long day of work or because it’s to treat yourself.
Massage Envy of West Melbourne offers residents more than just spa services. Professionals are there to help whether you’re there to relax or to get relief from pain.
“I’m a spa girl,” said Xzondra Bergman, business manager of Massage Envy. “I’ve been going to the spa since I was 8 and what I find, for me, is that Massage Envy is more of a healing clinic as opposed to a spa. So, if you have something that ails you, we have people here who work with a multitude of things that require more to a healing process than a simple relaxation massage.”
Massage Envy offers massage and skin care services, and recently added a total body assisted stretch service, which focuses on 10 specific stretches in a 30-minute session.
“It’s a full-body stretch experience where the practitioner assists the client in stretching throughout the session,” said Jean-Paul Ross, regional director of Massage Envy. “It’s for anyone looking for a deeper relaxation; that has been something I noticed since we implemented it, and they may not have realized how tight and tense they are. We’ve seen a lot of improvement when we’ve incorporated it with a massage afterwards.”
Athletes in particular have been able to benefit from these services, and Mrs. Bergman told Hometown News that a recent partnership with the PGA will teach players’ personal trainers in the total body stretch method.
As an individually owned business, Massage Envy is owned and operated by Don Zondervan, who managed several businesses before opening the West Melbourne location as well as another Massage Envy in Orlando.
“I love the great people I get to work with and the clients I get to meet and help,” he said. “We truly get to help people who deal with stress, chronic pain, headaches and so much more.”
Massage Envy offers products used by massage therapists during sessions, so that clients can take the products home and continue care recommended by a practitioner.
It will soon offer chemical peels and micro-derm infusions, with instant results. It currently offers Dr. Murad’s line of skin care products.
At Massage Envy, first-time clients can book an introductory session for $50.
Members can receive benefits such as one 60-minute wellness massage or facial per month, and if they miss a month, their session can roll over to the next month. Members can also receive unlimited massages or facials at a member rate and can get discounts for family members.
Starting July 31 and running until Sept. 3, Massage Envy will host a “Summer Glow,” during which clients who spend $100 or more on retail will receive a gift.
Massage Envy will have a ribbon cutting ceremony from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, to celebrate the business’ February opening.
Following the ribbon cutting, Massage Envy will host a grand opening from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12.
Massage Envy is at 4311 Norfolk Parkway, Suite 112, West Melbourne.
