Streetball Night in Palm Bay: Court Kingz is partnering with the City of Palm Bay and the Palm Bay Police Department to host Court Kingz Streetball Nights in Palm Bay. Streetball Nights will be held from 5 pm to 10 pm every Friday night from June 11 through August 6 at Riviera Park. The park is located at 550 Riviera Drive NE in Palm Bay.

On opening night, Friday May 11, there will be a live DJ, music performers, a bounce house for children, and a showcase game of adults at 9 pm. Streetball Nights are free to attend. Kids ages 12 to 18 are encouraged to bring their best five players to compete against other teams. Individual players are also welcome and will be placed on pick-up teams.

Titusville Bicycle Trek: A 14-mile day of cycling adventure to include the Chain of Lakes Park and Rails to Trails path! It happens on Saturday June 12. We meet at 9 a.m. at the Titusville Welcome Center located at 419 S. Hopkins Avenue in Titusville.

We will proceed a block north to Sunrise Bakery for coffee and homemade pastry before we start the ride. We will ride through downtown to the trail and go north to Truman Scarborough Avenue, head east to Chain of Lakes, ride the Chain of Lakes, climb the 75’ tower to see Indian River and launch pads, then ride north through the park to Jay Road, cross US 1 and head north to Hwy 46, where we turn around and go south to Dixie Crossroads for lunch.

The M.A.D Science Saturday workshop lets your kids learn all about rockets, thrust, and fuels. Kids can build and launch their own air rocket, launch Coca Cola rockets, and do hands on experimentation with rocket nozzles and what effect they have on the rocket thrust. Student Scholarship Winner on Exhibit at Studios of Cocoa Beach: Blue Dunsworth won the Central Brevard Art Association's 17th annual Student Scholarship and the Studios of Cocoa Beach and Ridley’s Custom Framing of Palm Bay have teamed up to present an exhibit of his work. The one man show will be on exhibit June 1 to June 30 at the Studios’ gallery in Cocoa Beach.

His work is both Realism and Surrealism using a variety of mediums such as acrylic, graphite, watercolors, charcoal and colored pencils, often combining several.

'Symphony Under the Stars': The Brevard Symphony Orchestra (BSO) has announced the return of the annual 'Symphony Under the Stars' free concert at the Cocoa Riverfront Park on July 4.

The BSO will perform patriotic and familiar works as well as playing pieces that honor those who have served in our nation’s military.

EThe music begins at 8 pm, followed by fireworks at about 9:15 pm.

Prior to the free concert, the BSO will host the 'Red Hot & Boomin Supper' which will take place in the Cocoa Civic Center, adjacent to the Riverfront Park. There will be a limited vehicle capacity inside the park. Once the park is full, patrons can park in the parking lot at Heritage High School at 2351 Malabar Rd NW. THere will be a great view of the fireworks from there as well.

Lawndale - a Blue Star Museum: Lawndale is an 1880 pioneer homestead in Rockledge, has now been registered as a Blue Star Museum. Active duty military and their families will have free admission from May through September.

It sits on a 2 acre site with 183 feet of river frontage along scenic Rockledge Drive. Docents in period dress guide visitors through the old homestead which has been restored and furnished as a family home of 1895. The beautiful riverfront location of Lawndale at 1219 Rockledge Drive is in the middle of three National Register Historic Districts.

Lawndale is open for tours the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A donation of $10 per person is suggested. Lawndale is located at 1219 Rockledge Drive in Rockledge.

Computers Advancing Education Lab: Once again we are offering a FREE Basic Computer Class. If you need help learning to use a computer, this is the place! No previous computer experience needed. Our classes will teach you to sign on, connect to the web, browse the internet, use e-mail, write a letter. We have computers available for use in the class. The class is limited to 9 people. Free Little Library: The Cocoa Community Woman's Club has built a small outdoor book bin, free of charge for area residents. It holds about 30 books. Take a book, leave a book if you wish! This little library is set up outside the Women's Club clubhouse at 5 Rosa Jones Drive in South Cocoa Village, on the west side of the Brevard Avenue traffic circle. Literacy is one of the key commitments of the Cocoa Community Woman's Club.

"Not Alone" Fellowship: A two-hour monthly gathering of fellowship, food, and fun with door blessings. Green Gables Open House: Green Gables is hosting Open Houses on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. CDC guidelines will be in place. Even though Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Inc. has submitted to be considered for a Florida matching grant to own the home, we must continue to work toward repairing, stabilizing, and then restoring this historical Queen Anne style treasure for the South Brevard area. Green Gables is one of only three Queen Anne style homes in South Brevard, so preserving this architecture and restoring the home as well as the Wells family legacy is important. William and Nora Wells played a key role in the development of early Melbourne. Their vision and generosity gifted the area with Wells Park and the first auditorium, assistance with building and establishing the first library, organizing and funding the first high school classes, to name a few, all of which have been enjoyed by several generations.
