VIERA — The Avenue Viera, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, announced today it is gearing up for the return of the holiday season with a spectacular line up of family friendly events with the annual Kickoff to Christmas event taking place on Friday, Nov. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the lifestyle center’s Central Park.

The Kickoff to Christmas will be jam packed for all ages to enjoy festive activities and vendors to get ready for the holidays. This year’s holiday event line up includes:

Kickoff to Christmas - Friday, November 25

$5 Carriage Rides, with proceeds supporting Girl Scout Troop 943

Holiday Dance Party

Appearances from Santa & Mrs. Claus

Reading of the Night Before Christmas by Mrs. Claus

Santa to lead the countdown to the lighting of a 34-foot Christmas tree in front of Panera Bread at 7:00 p.m.

Crafting stations

Food & Gift Vendors

Holiday Carriage Rides - November 25 - December 17

Fridays & Saturdays from 5-8 p.m.

Visits with Santa & Mrs. Claus - November 26 - December 24

Fridays, Saturdays & December 19 - 23, 5 - 8 p.m.

Sundays, 3 - 6 p.m.

Christmas Eve, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Guests are welcome to take their own photos for free

Leashed pets are welcomed

All visits are weather-dependent and may be canceled at any time

Caroling at The Avenue Viera - November 26 - December 24

Local bands, orchestras, musical groups and more to perform in Central Park

Every night from 6-7 p.m.

Holiday carriage rides are $5 per adult and free to children under the age of 12. All proceeds will benefit Girl Scout Troop 943, who are raising funds for their work with Veteran Affairs Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.

The carriage pick-up area will be in the drive lane in front of AMC Theatres. Rides are first-come, first-serve. Your entire group must be present to ride. Guests will be required to sign a participant waiver before riding the carriage. No pets are allowed in the carriages.
