MELBOURNE ―The Brevard Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is proud to announce the return of its annual free family concert, Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev, on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2:00pm at the Maxwell C. King Center at 3865 N. Wickham Road in Melbourne, Florida. There are no tickets or registration for this event. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. With original illustrations by narrator Candace Neal, and Sergei Prokofiev’s score played brilliantly by your Brevard Symphony Orchestra, this timeless story will come to life before your eyes and ears.

Christopher Confessore, Brevard Symphony Orchestra’s Conductor and Music Director of over 25 years, says “I look forward to this family concert every year as a wonderful opportunity for families from all over Brevard to experience the thrill of a professional orchestra of BSO’s scale right in their own backyard. As we continue to find new ways to give back to our communities, we recognize the importance of arts education at an early age. This concert, as well as our annual concert for 5th grade students across the county, demonstrate our commitment to cultivating meaningful arts experiences for younger generations.”

Please note, The Brevard Symphony Orchestra’s current Health and Safety Guidelines are as follows: The proper use and wearing of masks is required for entry and throughout the duration of the performance for this concert. The King Center has a new Bag Policy and is as follows: To eliminate having to touch personal items, no bags will be allowed. A small clutch/wristlet/wallet, not to exceed 4.5” x 8” may be used for necessary items. The King Center will ask you to return any bags to your vehicle. If you have any further questions, please call the King Center Box Office at 321-242-2219.

The Brevard Symphony Orchestra is the only fully-professional orchestra in Brevard County and is home to many of Central Florida’s finest classical musicians.
