Ongoing repairs prompt meeting changes

PALM BAY - A water pipe that burst under the Palm Bay Council Chambers caused extensive flooding that has damaged the facility.

The Palm Bay Facilities Department estimates the Council Chambers will be closed through at least the beginning of February while necessary repairs are made.

As a result meetings that were scheduled to take place in the chamber have been moved to community rooms A and B in the Tony Rosa Community Center which is located at 1502 Port Malabar Boulevard NE in Palm Bay.

The following meetings are among those that have been re-scheduled to take place at the Rosa Community Center.

*January 26 at 6 p.m. – Special Council Meeting (Case Nos. CP-10-2020/CPZ-10-2020; SKA Properties, LLC)

* January 27 at 6 p.m. – Sustainability Board

January 28 at 6:00pm – Council Workshop – Fiscal Year Budget

Due to the change in location the City of Palm Bay will not be able to offer a live video stream on the City website.

However a livestream of the meetings will be available on the City’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/palmbayfl/.

The meetings will be recorded and made available individually on the City’s website as soon as possible following each meeting.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings.

As with meetings in Council Chambers, occupancy will be reduced to allow for social distancing protocols.
