SATELLITE BEACH — Beginning Friday, March 20 at 4:30 p.m., Satellite Beach City Hall will be closed to the public for the health and safety of our City residents and City employees during the COVID 19 crisis.
The David R. Schechter Community Center on South Patrick Drive will remain closed. The closures will extend through at least Wednesday, April 15, unless circumstances changes.
City employees will continue to satisfy requests for services by phone or through online services. The public is encouraged to make use of the City’s online services at www.satellitebeach.org or call 321-773-4407.
Please utilize the online services for all Building Permit applications. To submit Building/Engineering Plans, please call the Building Department at 321-773-4409 to make arrangements for drop off. Your patience and understanding are appreciated while staff continues to respond to inquiries and requests via telephone and email.
Starting Monday, March 23, Satellite Beach Recreation will begin offering virtual programing Monday through Friday.
Classes include our award-winning Rhythm In Motion Dance Programs, QiGong/Tai Chi, Somer Camp Fitness, Nature Nick, DIY with DecorSauce and our newest community program, For Kids By Kids where kids from our community share their talents and knowledge. Each Friday we will offer a "Live" Concert or Movie Night Watch Party as part of this programming. Tonight's "Live" concert features local favorite, Rick Teresi.
Satellite Beach thrives on community involvement and our instructors, locals and City Government have come together to offer a sense of structure and familiarity during these unprecedented times. Schedules and updates will be posted on the Facebook Page - Play Satellite Beach, initial schedule will be posted by 5 p.m. Friday, March 20.
