TITUSVILLE – The 43rd annual Space Coast International Air Show is set to be held at the Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville on May 21-22.

The show, hosted by Valiant Air Command, will feature a wide variety of air demonstrations, according to spacecoastairshow.com, that include those put on by the F-22 Raptor Demo Team, E/A-18 Growler Demo, A-10 Thunderbolt II, Chuck Aaron Helicopter Aerobatics, F-86 Sabre Jet Demo, Attack Helicopter Demo, SOCOM Para-Commandos and the Douglas C-47 TICO Bell.

In addition, over 30 aircraft will be on display on the ground including the F-14A Tomcat, F-86 Sabre, A-6E Intruder, Navy Blue Angel F/A-18A Hornet, Navy T-4 Goshawk and F-4J Phantom II.

“We’ve got probably the largest static display of any air show in America,” said Bob Boswell, air show director and executive officer for Valiant Air Command.

There are also other attractions available for patrons who come to the show to check out, Mr. Boswell added.

“The gate opens to the public at 9 a.m. and we have a lot to look at on the ground besides those 30-plus airplanes,” Mr. Boswell said. “We’re going to have the military re-enactors there….they usually put on a firepower demonstration (at) about 11 o'clock each day. We’re going to have a couple of car clubs there.”

Mr. Boswell also discussed how much the event means to those with the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum.

“It means a lot. The tenets of our Warbird Museum not only (are) to restore aircraft but to perpetually remember those who fought and flew in the wars,” Mr. Boswell said. “We want to honor their service so that’s one of the things we do besides educating the public on the need for a strong aerial force to protect the nation. Of course we want to encourage young men and women to take up military aviation.”

There are a wide variety of ticket options to the event as well. Patrons can purchase general admission tickets for $28.

Lawn boxes start as low as $29.75 per person, the website indicates, which consists of a 10’ x 12’ lawn viewing area. Lawn box tickets also include admission for four people and a parking pass to park right on the airfield.

Beyond that, preferred seating tickets cost $49, photo pit tickets cost $115 and Flight Line Club VIP seats cost $179.

Tickets purchased in advance are 30 percent off the event day price, with advance VIP sales saving $90. Tickets can be purchased at spacecoastairshow.com.
