2018 season opens against Benedict College on Sept. 1

Florida Tech opens 2018 season against Benedict College on Sept. 1 in Columbia, S.C. The Panthers' home opener and Gulf South Conference opener will be Sept. 15 as they host Delta State. Florida Tech closes out its home slate with its Senior Day Game on Nov. 3 against new GSC member North Greenville at 2 p.m. The Panthers conclude the regular season on the road against league foe Shorter on Nov. 10.

MELBOURNE -- Florida Tech announced the game schedule for the sixth season of Panther Football. The 10 game slate features four home games at Florida Tech Panther Stadium.

A road game against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference member Benedict College on Sept. 1 kicks off the 2018 campaign for head coach Steve Englehart and the Panthers. FIT has an open date on its schedule on Sept. 8.

Florida Tech home opener and Gulf South Conference opener will be Sept. 15 as the Panthers host Delta State at 7 p.m. at Panther Stadium.

The Crimson & Gray are on the road the next two weeks, traveling to Carrollton, Georgia for a GSC matchup with West Georgia on Sept. 22 and then to Wingate, North Carolina for a showdown with South Atlantic Conference opponent Wingate on Sept. 29. FIT returns to Panther Stadium on Oct. 6 to take on GSC foe Mississippi College at 7 p.m.

The Panthers' annual Homecoming Game takes place on Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. against GSC rival Valdosta State. Florida Tech will then head up to the Florida panhandle for the third annual Coastal Classic Rivalry with 2017 national runner-up West Florida on Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. The next weekend, FIT travels to Livingston, Alabama for a battle with defending GSC Champion West Alabama on Oct. 27.
